APCC head YS Sharmila's affidavit reveals massive 100 crore plus debt to brother Jagan Mohan Reddy and sister-in-law

Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) Chief YS Sharmila disclosed assets valued at Rs 132.56 crore in the affidavit submitted during her nomination filing for the Kadapa parliament seat on Saturday. Amidst heightened sibling rivalry with her brother and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Sharmila's declaration included a notable borrowing history from Jagan and her sister-in-law, YS Bharathi.

The declaration outlined that Sharmila's sole liability pertained to substantial loans taken from her brother and sister-in-law. Her movable assets were detailed at Rs. 123.26 crore, with immovable assets worth Rs. 9.29 crore. In contrast, her husband's assets were listed at Rs. 45.19 crore in movable assets and Rs. 4.05 crore in immovable property.

Among Sharmila's immovable assets were agricultural land spanning 39.41 acres in Edupulapaya, Pulivendula, non-agricultural land measuring 3.34 lakh sq. ft., and residential buildings covering 9823 sq. yards, also in Edupulapaya. Additionally, she possessed gold and gemstone jewellery valued at Rs. 8.31 crore, while her husband held gold ornaments worth Rs. 1.24 crore.

The affidavit detailed liabilities amounting to Rs. 82.77 crore for Sharmila, primarily sourced from loans of Rs. 82.58 crore from her brother, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and Rs. 19.56 lakh from Jagan's wife, YS Bharathi Reddy. Meanwhile, Anil Kumar's liabilities totaled Rs. 35.81 crore, including loans of Rs. 29.99 crore from his wife, Rs. 40 lakh from his mother-in-law YS Vijayamma, a Rs. 4.91 crore loan from Rhoda Infrastructure, and a personal borrowing of Rs. 50 lakh from N Ratan.
