5 Naxals killed, 1,000 trapped in largest-ever operation involving 20,000 security forces

A massive anti-Naxal operation is underway in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, with over 20,000 security personnel from three states - Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Maharashtra - surrounding over 1,000 Naxals. At least five Naxals have been killed in the operation, which aims to eliminate the Maoist threat in the region. The operation comes after Union Home Minister Amit Shah set a deadline of March 31, 2026, to eliminate Naxalism in the country.
