Passenger arrested for allegedly defecating, urinating on Air India flight

An FIR (First Investigation Report) was lodged against the accused, a passenger on seat number 17F. He allegedly defecated, urination, and spat in row 9 of the aircraft, according to the FIR.

While observing the ‘misconduct’, the cabin crew gave a verbal warning to Ram, the accused passenger, and he was secluded from the others, the report said.

Moreover, the pilot-in-command was also informed of the situation. A message was sent to the airline seeking immediate security on the arrival to escort the passenger. The FIR also stated that the ‘misconduct’ left other passengers agitated.

The Air India security chief was present on the arrival of the flight, concerning security reasons. Then, the passenger was escorted to the local police station.

Taking notes from the incident, and complaint raised, a case has been registered against the accused passenger under sections 294 (obscene acts) and 510 (misconduct in public by a drunken person) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
