New Delhi: In a distressing incident, a girl from Punjab was allegedly gang-raped on a public bus in Dehradun on Tuesday evening. The crime occurred at the city's inter-state bus terminus (ISBT) upon her arrival from Moradabad.

Police officials register a case 

Following the assault, the police registered a case late that night and launched an investigation. Authorities have detained a roadways employee in connection with the case. According to the information shared by an anti-rape activist Yogita Bhayana, the girl hailed from Punjab. She was coming from Moradabad when she was sexually assaulted by five men who monstrously raped her in the moving bus.
