Another fire incident claims 3 lives, injures 6 in Delhi's Narela factory

As per the preliminary investigation, a gas leak was the main cause of the fire incident.

In summer scorching heat, another horrific fire incident has been reported from North Delhi’s Narela Industrial area on Saturday early morning. The fire broke out at a food processing unit claiming 3 lives and leaving six injured. 

According to Delhi Police, the information about the incident was received at the PCR around 3:35 AM, and on receiving the information police personnel reached the Shayam Kripa Foods Pvt Ltd where the fire engulfed. Reportedly, nine people were inside the factory when the incident happened. They were immediately rushed to SHRC Hospital, Narela. Among the injured, three were declared dead by the doctors.

As per the preliminary investigation, a gas leak was the main cause of the fire incident. Investigation revealed that raw moong was being roasted at the gas when one of the burners leaked can pipeline caught fire. Overheating of the compressor resulted in a blast.

The deceased were identified as Shyam, 24, Ram Singh, 30, and Beerpa, 42 and the injured were identified as Pushpender, 26, Akash, 19, Mohit Kumar, 21, Ravi Kumar, 19, Monu, 25, and Lalu, 32.

Meanwhile, the police have registered the case and the investigation has been started.
