New Delhi: Amritpal Singh is set to be released under Section 15 of the National Security Act, 1980. His release and activities will be strictly monitored by a police team appointed by the Amritsar Rural Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP).
During the period of his temporary release, Amritpal Singh will be confined to the New Delhi area. His movements and residence will be regulated by the Amritsar Rural SSP and the Lok Sabha Secretary. He is required to stay at a location determined by these authorities both before and after the oath-taking ceremony.
Under Section 2(c) of the Detention Act, 1981, Amritpal Singh's family members will be allowed to visit him. However, he must refrain from engaging in any activities or making any statements that could compromise national security.
The time spent traveling from Central Jail, Dibrugarh to New Delhi and back will be included in the period of temporary release. All expenses related to his travel will be covered by the department under the Director General of Police (DGP).
Throughout the oath-taking process, the Amritsar Rural SSP will maintain constant communication with the Lok Sabha Secretary General to ensure smooth coordination and adherence to the perdcribed conditions.
