Union Home Minister Amit Shah conducted a comprehensive review of the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir, coupled with preparations for the upcoming annual Amarnath pilgrimage, on Sunday. Sources close to the matter revealed that Shah convened a high-level meeting at North Block, following Prime Minister Narendra Modis recent directives to bolster counter-terror capabilities post a series of terror incidents, including an assault on a bus carrying pilgrims.During the meeting, Shah, accompanied by top security officials such as National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha, and Army Chief General Manoj Pande, among others, delved into crucial discussions regarding intensifying counter-terror operations in the region.
