Union Minister Amit Shah on Thursday moved the Delhi Services Bill to replace ordinance for control of services in Delhi for consideration and passing in Lok Sabha.While moving the bill in the house, the union ministers said that there are several provisions in the constitution that allows the Centre to make laws for the national capital. According to the information, the bill will empower the Central government to make rules in connection with the affairs of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi including the functions, terms and other conditions of service of officers and employees.Speaking on the National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023 in Lok Sabha. https://t.co/1TsV3d64zP— Amit Shah (@AmitShah) August 3, 2023He also said that being Delhi, a nation capital has specials provisions in the constitution.Amit Shah while addressing the house also made a strong attack on the ruling government of Delhi saying that everything was smooth until 2015. The administrative arrangements in Delhi were working fine under various governments. Shah also attacked the chief minister of Delhi for alleged corruption in renovation of bungalows.Noteworthy is, that chief minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal has been opposing the ordinance ordered by Supreme Court and has been seeking support of various opposition leaders against the bill, specially in Rajya Sabha.
