New Delhi: In a tragic incident, in Delhis Ashok Vihar area as a dispute over swimming pool usage culminated in a fatal stabbing incident claiming the lives of two young men, one of whom was a minor. The victims, identified as 17-year-old Vipul and 18-year-old Vishal, were fatally stabbed in what police describe as a retaliatory attack involving several individuals.Where it took place The incident unfolded in Jailer Wala Bagh area, where tensions had simmered since a confrontation at a local swimming pool a week earlier. According to initial reports, a dispute erupted between two groups, believed to be acquaintances, over an altercation involving the victims and a few friends. This culminated in a violent clash late Friday night, leaving Vipul and Vishal grievously injured and later pronounced dead at the scene.Victims were from Delhi Vipul, known as Sahil in his neighborhood, hailed from Chandrashekhar Azad JJ Colony in Wazirpur, originally from Azamgarh, UP. His father, Rajaram, recounted the tragic events, mentioning Vipuls recent unemployment after working in a factory. Vishal, residing in D Block of the same colony, belonged to Mau district, UP, and worked in a factory, as detailed by his family members.Families in deep shock and griefThe families of both victims expressed shock and grief upon learning of their deaths, revealing details of the fateful night. Vishals elder brother Bittu recalled Vishal receiving a call late in the evening, after which he left home, leading to the fatal encounter just 500 meters away from their residence.Motive behind the attackAmid the grief, allegations have surfaced regarding the motive behind the attack. Bittu alleged that Vishal had opposed drug dealing activities in the area, a claim suggesting a possible motive for the attack. Its reported that Vipul and Vishal, along with a few companions, had gone to confront individuals from another group, escalating into a deadly altercation.Delhi Police arrested 6 people In response to the incident, Delhi Police have detained six individuals for questioning and registered a case under various sections including murder.
