Amid NEET-UG controversy, Lucknow HC asks NTA to submit original OMR sheet of Ayushi Patel

Lucknow High Court conducted a hearing on the petition filed by student Ayushi Patel regarding her torn OMR sheet. National Testing Agency (NTA) submitted all of Ayushi's documents and proof of her email ID during the proceedings, including the picture of the torn OMR sheet sent to her by NTA. The court also requested NTA to present the original OMR sheet.

Lucknow HC asks NTA to submit OMR sheet 

NTA has requested three days from the Lucknow High Court to submit additional documents, and the next hearing has been scheduled for June 18. After the NEET results were announced, Ayushi Patel shared a video alleging that NTA had withheld her results due to her torn OMR sheet, despite her innocence. Subsequently, Ayushi filed a petition in the Lucknow High Court.

HC will examine all documents

In response to the viral video, NTA denied sending any such email to Ayushi Patel. However, it was later revealed that Ayushi Patel's result had been uploaded under a different application number. The High Court will thoroughly examine all documents pertaining to the case, with the next hearing slated for June 18.

SC to hold hearing today 

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is set to hold a hearing today regarding a petition regarding Grace Marks. Arguments will be presented before Justice Vikram Nath's bench. In a previous hearing, it was decided that NTA counseling would proceed without interruption, and there would be no re-examination. Similar decisions were also upheld by the Delhi High Court regarding counseling procedures.

NEET Controversy

The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET-UG) results have caused an uproar this year, with aspirants and parents demanding a probe and re-examination, alleging that the paper was leaked and complaints over "inflation of marks" of students who were compensated with grace marks for the loss of time.
