The incident, which took place on the movies release day, claimed the life of a woman and injured at least two others.Chaos erupts at theatre during actors arrivalThe unfortunate event unfolded at Hyderabads Sandhya Theatre when fans thronged the venue to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun as he arrived for the premiere. According to reports, a massive crowd surged toward the theatre entrance, resulting in a stampede-like situation. Despite police deployment to manage the crowd, the situation spiraled out of control, forcing authorities to resort to lathi charge.The woman who tragically lost her life in the stampede was identified as Revathi, a resident of Dilsukhnagar. She had attended the screening with her husband and two children, Tej (9) and Sanvika (7).Following the tragedy, the family of the deceased filed a complaint against both the theatre management and Allu Arjun, citing negligence in managing the crowd.Allu Arjun responds with condolences and financial aidTwo days after the incident, Allu Arjun issued a heartfelt video statement expressing his condolences. He announced a financial aid of Rs 25 lakh to the bereaved family as a goodwill gesture and committed to covering all medical expenses of the injured.In the video, he said, “When we attended the premiere of Pushpa 2, we never imagined such heartbreaking news would follow. It is devastating to know a cherished movie outing turned into a tragedy for a family. My thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time.”
