In a significant revelation, Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi has expressed deep concern over the presence of Pakistan Army and ISI officials in sensitive areas of Bangladesh, close to India’s strategic Chicken’s Neck corridor. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that anti-India forces do not exploit Bangladesh’s territory for terror-related activities.

 A threat to India?

According to intelligence reports, Pakistani military and intelligence officials have been spotted near India's border in Bangladesh. General Dwivedi affirmed that such movements must be closely monitored to prevent any potential security threats. "I had earlier called Pakistan the epicenter of terrorism. Now, if their officials move to a neighboring country, naturally, we must be concerned. We cannot allow them to use that soil to send terrorists to India," he stated.

Strong Military ties with Bangladesh

Despite these concerns, General Dwivedi reassured that India's military relationship with Bangladesh remains solid. He highlighted that both nations maintain open communication and strategic coordination."Our military ties with Bangladesh are strong. We exchange information whenever necessary, and that is crucial for regional security," he asserted.

Pakistan's Kashmir obsession: A never-ending drama?

When questioned about Pakistan’s continued fixation on Kashmir, General Dwivedi responded with a sharp analogy, referencing the classic Bollywood film Guide."Pakistan is stuck in its own rhetoric, much like a madman who refuses to eat until it rains. They have no way out but to keep pushing the same agenda," he quipped. Citing Robert Kaplan’s book The Revenge of Geography, he questioned whether the regions on both sides of the Indus could ever be united, emphasizing that Pakistan’s national unity relies solely on an anti-India stance. "Kashmir is just one part of the story. Their entire survival depends on maintaining an anti-India agenda," he added.

 Vigilance & strong diplomacy

As regional tensions evolve, India remains firm in its stance. With a strong military partnership with Bangladesh and continuous monitoring of security threats, the nation is determined to prevent any misuse of foreign soil for terrorism. The presence of Pakistan Army and ISI officials near India’s strategic border is a matter of national security, and India will take all necessary steps to ensure its safety.
