The corpse discovered three months ago in Ganganahar, Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, was cremated as unidentified, only to later unveil its identity as a Ghaziabad builder. Shockingly, the perpetrator turned out to be his friend. Police uncovered this startling revelation, leading to the arrest of all four suspects, including the friend. The motive behind the murder was a property valued at Rs 20 crore.
The family of the deceased builder had been relentlessly searching for him, while the Ghaziabad police also made efforts to locate him. Valuable clues obtained from surveillance ultimately unveiled the truth. Upon the revelation of the incident, the police felt a sense of relief. However, the family members of the deceased builder were left in shock, with the wife particularly distraught and unconscious. She lamented not being able to bid her husband a final farewell.
As per the police, Rakesh Varshney, residing in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, was employed as a property dealer. His associate Raju Upadhyay was also his business partner. Rakesh possessed property valued at approximately Rs 20 crore in Moradabad, for which he had entrusted his friend and partner Raju with power of attorney to facilitate its sale. Raju's greed for the substantial property prompted him to devise a plan to murder Rakesh in order to seize it.
Accused Raju murdered Rakesh with the help of his friends Anuj Garg, Krishna Aggarwal and Harish Kumar Sharma. According to the information given by the police, accused Raju along with his friends called Rakesh for a party. Everyone drank alcohol together. Raju and his accused friends first made Rakesh drink heavily and then gave him an overdose of anesthesia. Rakesh became unconscious due to excessive dose. The accused took him from the ambulance and threw him in Ganganahar located in Bulandshahr.
Rakesh did not return home until late at night, prompting his wife to make repeated unsuccessful attempts to reach him. Concerned, she reported him missing to the police, who promptly registered a report and initiated a search operation. Surveillance techniques were employed to aid in the investigation. Meanwhile, suspicion fell on Raju, leading to his detention for interrogation. Under intense questioning, he eventually confessed to the entire truth.
Raju disclosed that Rakesh had been disposed in Ganganahar. Upon communication between Ghaziabad and Bulandshahr police, it was revealed that a body recovered from the canal three months prior matched Rakesh's description. Despite efforts, the body remained unidentified and was subsequently cremated as unclaimed. All the accused were apprehended by the police and incarcerated.
