Ajit Pawar, the head of the Nationalist Congress Party, was sworn in as the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra on Sunday. According to Sanjay Raut, the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT), who asserted on Monday that Pawar would soon succeed Eknath Shinde as the chief minister of Maharashtra.
