Ram Mandir opening: In anticipation of the grand inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the Indian Railways has bestowed a new identity upon the city's railway station, transforming it into the "Ayodhya Dham Junction."

Scheduled for inauguration on December 30 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the station's development, planned in three phases, has successfully completed its first phase.

Spiritual Stones: Unity in Construction with Ram Temple

The construction of Ayodhya Dham Junction, like the revered Ram Temple, shares a symbolic connection. Stones from the Bansi Paharpur area in the Bharatpur district of Rajasthan, the same source as the Ram Temple, were utilised in crafting the junction, signifying a spiritual unity in the architecture.

Elevated Facilities: Beyond Airport Standards

Ayodhya Dham Junction sets a new standard in railway station development, surpassing even airport facilities in quality and convenience. The meticulously planned station offers a range of amenities, including infant care, a sick room, a tourist information centre, a fire exit, and the nation's largest concourse.

Unprecedented Passenger Experience

For passengers seeking medical assistance during their journey, a dedicated sick room equipped with first aid facilities is readily available. The station features a Passenger Facilities Desk and Tourist Information Centre, providing comprehensive details about spiritual and tourist destinations, including the Shri Ram Temple, ensuring convenient access.

Modern Amenities and Accessibility

Ayodhya Dham encompasses standard facilities found in newly developed stations, including cloakrooms, a food plaza, waiting halls, staircases, escalators, lifts, and toilets. Fire exits connecting all floors ensure a secure evacuation route in unforeseen situations.

The first floor boasts additional facilities such as a food plaza, waiting hall, toilets, drinking water stations, escalators, lifts, staff rooms, shops, waiting rooms, and an entry footbridge. Specially designed toilets cater to the needs of individuals with disabilities, promoting inclusivity.

As Ayodhya prepares to witness the inauguration of the Ram Temple, the Ayodhya Dham Junction stands as a testament to the harmonious blend of spirituality and modernity, offering passengers an unparalleled travel experience.
