As of the first week of July, precipitation has been 61% below the usual amount. On June 28, the standard observatory Safdarjung recorded a remarkable 228 mm of rain within 24 hours. Despite sporadic light rain in certain areas, Delhi residents are eagerly awaiting more substantial downpours, although the recent showers have heightened humidity levels.What IMD said According to the Meteorological Department, normally 27 mm of rain should fall in the first six days of July, which has been only 10.4 mm so far. On Saturday, Delhis average air quality index was at 65. Air of this level is kept in the satisfactory category. This is the third consecutive day when the level of air quality index has remained below 100. An AQI between zero and 50 is considered good, between 51 and 100 satisfactory, between 101 and 200 moderate, between 201 and 300 poor, between 301 and 400 very poor and between 401 and 500 severe.
