After Garib Rath, now Vande Bharat puts 'waterfall' on display; Video surfaces

A video surfaced that shows leakage from the roof of Vande Bharat. Authority said that slight water leakage was observed in coach because of temporary blockage of pipes! The same was attended and rectified by the staff on the train . The inconvenience caused is regretted.

New Delhi: A video has surfaced all over internet of a train coach where water is leaking from the roof of an air-conditioned train Vande Express. A passenger named Veena Jain shared the video, revealing the poor condition of the coach where water can be seen contuinuously dripping from the ceiling of the locomotive. This led passengers in a situation of dismay while social media users roastd the Indian Railways on such poor consumer experience in the trains.

A social media user Veena Jain, who was a passenger gave details of the train in a tweet. "Vande Bharat Train, Route : Delhi ~ Varanasi, Train Number : 22416 Hope Railway Ministry will not say it's a old video & don't defame Railways," she wrote in caption.          

Railways respond

Northern Railway replied in this regard, wrote that "Slight water leakage was observed in coach because of temporary blockage of pipes! The same was attended and rectified by the staff on the train . The inconvenience caused is regretted."

Another User named Vikas Patil wrote, "They will reply after a year & say it."

One of the user from the X platform tagged The Railway Minister of India, Ashwani Vaishnav in order to look into this issue. 

Similar instances that occured earlier

Indian Railways has faced scrutiny in the past due to quality concerns. Over the years, there have been numerous instances where passengers encountered various problems arise from inadequate maintenance and facilities.

Recently, another such incident surfaced where passengers traveling on the 3 AC Garib Rath trains,  faced a major inconvenience due to water leaking during their journey. This incident raised concerns about the quality and maintanence standards of Indian Railways. 

In another instance, passengers on a Rajdhani Express complained that the air conditioning wasn't working properly in many AC coaches. Even though they paid extra for AC seats, travelers had to deal with hot temperatures and poor ventilation, which made them upset and worried about their health.
