After BJP woman worker murder, TMC leader killed in West Bengal one day before polls; Body thrown in pond

In a shocking incident, a TMC leader was found dead in Mahishadal of East Midnapore district. However, this comes after BJP woman worker murder, it is alleged the party workers have murdered him. The deceased leader has been identified as Sheikh Maibul. He was a former member of the Gram Panchayat. Trinamool Congress says that Maibul was returning home on bike after dropping the party worker at around 11 pm on Friday night and then he was attacked.

What happened? 

According to the information, the attackers attacked him several times with sharp weapons. After his death, the accused threw his body in the pond. When some people came to know about this, they took out the body and took him to the hospital, but the doctors declared Maibul dead. The police is currently investigating the matter.

BJP worker found dead 

Earlier, on the night of 22 May, there was a clash between workers of Bharatiya Janata Party and Trinamool Congress in Nandigram, West Bengal. A woman BJP worker was killed in this, while seven BJP workers were injured. Apart from this, on May 20, there was news of a clash between BJP candidate Arjun Singh and TMC workers in Barrackpore, West Bengal. 

Not first time

This is not the first case of clash between TMC and BJP leaders in West Bengal. Even before this, leaders and workers of both the parties have clashed with each other. Before voting on April 19, there was a clash between workers of both the parties in Cooch Behar.
