The Indian film industry was plunged into grief on Friday with the news of actress and model Poonam Pandey's passing at the young age of 32. A statement shared by her manager on her official Instagram page revealed that Pandey had succumbed to cervical cancer.

"This morning is a tough one for us," the statement began, expressing the profound sadness felt by those who knew her. "Deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost our beloved Poonam to cervical cancer. Every living form that ever came in contact with her was met with pure love and kindness. In this time of grief, we would request for privacy while we remember her fondly for all that we shared."

Pandey, who made her Bollywood debut in the 2013 film "Nasha," was remembered not only for her acting career but also for her vibrant social media presence and philanthropic efforts. She had last appeared in the reality show "Lock Upp."
