New Delhi: In a tragic incident from North Delhi’s Sawan Park, Deepak Sharma reportedly took his own life following alleged continuous harassment and extortion by his wife, Suman, from Sangam Vihar. Deepak's father, a retired serviceman, is now pleading for justice for his son, devastated by the loss and determined to raise awareness about what he claims is a growing issue of false allegations and harassment under gender-biased laws.

Deepak’s father, heartbroken over his son’s death, is among many calling for reform in the country's women-centric legal framework, which he believes has been misused in several cases. Activists have voiced concerns that these laws, though designed to protect women, can sometimes be weaponized against men, leading to false accusations and, in some instances, tragic outcomes like Deepak's suicide.
