Priyanka Kakkar who is AAPs national chief spokesperson spoke on the INDIA grouping in an interview on Wednesday. She said that the person who is most fit to lead the opposition alliance is none other than the leader of AAP, Arvind Kejriwal.She praised the Delhi chief minister for constantly raising issues of the people and provided with a model that has helped to keep inflation at the lowest in the capital city. She answered “If you ask me as a party spokesperson, I will put forward the name of Arvind Kejriwal. She said “A model in which the tax collected from the public have been spent on public and despite all these welfare schemes he has presented a profitable budget. But this decision (to select the leader of INDIA) is not on me.”Adding onto the recent LGP price cut-down by the central government by Rs200, she said that the fuel prices would also come down after the third meeting of the opposition INDIA bloc.“LPG rates were reduced by ₹200 after Patna and Bengaluru meetings (of INDIA alliance). I am sure that petrol and diesel rates will come down after the Mumbai meeting,” she said.Oppositions INDIA bloc Leaders of the INDIA bloc are supposed to meet in Mumbai for a meeting to discuss and announce a coordination committee and a logo for the alliance. The duration of the meeting is supposed to be for two days.Major discussion is expected to take place at the meeting in Mumbai where the leaders of the opposition bloc will talk about the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections. They would chalk out a joint campaign strategy to take on the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance in the elections next year and iron out the differences among themselves.The leaders are also likely to announce a few panels to draft a common minimum programme of the alliance, frame joint plans for holding agitations across the country, and for sharing the seats as well.
