In a startling development early Monday morning, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amanatullah Khan claimed that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had arrived at his residence with the intent to arrest him. Taking to the social media platform X, Khan expressed his concerns over what he described as politically motivated harassment, directly accusing the central government of misusing its agencies to target him and other AAP leaders.

Khan, who has been vocal about his criticism of the central government, did not mince words in his post. He referred to the central leadership as a "dictator" and described the ED as a "puppet" being used to suppress opposition voices. "Just now, early in the morning, at the behest of the dictator, his puppet ED has reached my house," Khan wrote. He further accused the government of leaving "no stone unturned" in its efforts to harass him and his party colleagues.

In his social media post, Khan raised pertinent questions about the legitimacy of the raid. "Is it a crime to serve the people honestly?" he asked, implying that his commitment to public service may be the real reason behind the ED's actions. Khan also questioned the duration of what he termed as "dictatorship," expressing concerns over the ongoing targeting of opposition leaders.
This incident is the latest in a series of confrontations between the AAP and central investigative agencies. The party has consistently accused the government of using these agencies to intimidate its leaders. As this story unfolds, all eyes will be on the developments that follow Khan’s public allegations.
