AAP leader Sanjay Singh has been in Tihar jail for six months due to the Delhi liquor case. Today, he was released from jail, bringing joy to his supporters. After his release, he plans to visit Sunita Kejriwal, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's wife, and then head to the party office to meet party workers. During his bail hearing, the Supreme Court questioned the Enforcement Directorate (ED) but did not oppose Singh's bail plea, leading to his release.

"This is the time to struggle," Singh remarked following his release. "Our prominent party leaders - Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and Satyendar Jain - are currently incarcerated. I remain hopeful that they will be freed from the confines of this prison one day. Therefore, I emphasize that now is not the time for jubilation but rather for continued effort and resilience."

AAP supporters in big numbers congregated outside Tihar Jail, where Singh had been held since October last year following his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with their money laundering investigation into alleged irregularities in the defunct Delhi excise policy.

Earlier in the day, a Delhi court instructed Singh not to tamper with evidence or exert influence on witnesses in the case. Special Judge Kaveri Baweja also mandated that Singh surrender his passport, notify the court of any plans to leave the NCR region, and maintain active phone location tracking.

SC bench instructs Sanjay Singh to refrain from making political statements

Granting bail to the AAP Rajya Sabha MP, the Supreme Court bench acceded after the ED expressed no objections. Justices Sanjiv Khanna, Dipankar Datta, and P B Varale stipulated that Singh may resume his political engagements but must refrain from making any statements regarding the ongoing case. However, the AAP leader didn't follow the instructions of the Supreme Court bench.

Sanjay Singh has to accept these conditions

Sanjay Singh, following the bail decree from the Supreme Court, has been directed by the trial court (Rouse Avenue Court) to adhere to specific conditions. These conditions include refraining from tampering with evidence and remaining within the Delhi-NCR region. Any departure from this area must be duly reported.

Moreover, Singh is required to surrender his passport and will be subject to location monitoring. Furthermore, he is obligated to fully cooperate with the ongoing investigation and abstain from making any remarks or statements regarding the case.
