New Delhi: The political atmosphere in Delhi has intensified following a bomb blast outside the CRPF school in Prashant Vihar, Rohini. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has sharply criticized the central Modi government for what they perceive as negligence in maintaining law and order. AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj stated, “There was a blast in Delhi today, but LG sahab was nowhere to be seen.” He questioned the absence of the Lieutenant Governor during such a critical incident.

Calls for resignation amid rising crime rates

Former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia echoed Bhardwaj's sentiments, urging the central government to resign. “The law and order in Delhi is in danger,” he stated, emphasizing that the recent bomb blast, coupled with prior incidents of gunfire in the Welcome area, has led to a sense of insecurity among residents. “Delhi has become a gangster rule like Bombay of the 90s,” he added, highlighting the increasing violence in the capital.

A grave concern for public safety

Sisodia also expressed concern for public safety, particularly during the festival season. He remarked, “This bomb blast is a matter of concern at a time when there is a crowd everywhere in Delhi. I am thankful to God that it was Sunday today; otherwise, what would have happened to those children who come to school to build their future?” He labeled the blast as a significant failure of the central government, claiming it has neglected its responsibility for law and order in the capital.

Political tensions rise

With crime rates escalating and security concerns mounting, AAP leaders are demanding accountability from the BJP-led central government. Sisodia concluded, “The BJP is using all its power to stop the work of the elected government of Delhi and is not able to do its work.”
