The landslide victory comes at a critical time, just ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly elections, and serves as a major setback for the ABVP, which has struggled to challenge Yuva Sena’s influence in the university.

The elections were delayed for over two years due to various legal and procedural disputes. Following a directive from the Bombay High Court, the vote for the 10 seats took place on September 24, with counting held on Friday at Mumbai University’s Convocation Hall, Fort campus.
