In a startling incident at Andulberia High School in West Bengal's Murshidabad district, two Class IX students caused panic when they entered a classroom brandishing a gun. The incident, which occurred in Rejinagar, involved the students attempting to intimidate their classmates with the weapon.

Upon learning of the situation, the headmaster and teachers acted swiftly to disarm the students. The weapon in question was a country-made single-shot gun, a type reportedly common in the area. The school authorities managed to confiscate the gun without any harm being done.

Police Detain Students

The two students have been detained by the police for questioning. According to sources, one of the students obtained the gun from a close family associate. It was later revealed that the students had allegedly planned to use the gun to harm the school guard, who had recently reprimanded them.

"The police have detained the two students for questioning and they will take action as per the law," said Jahangir Alam, the headmaster of the school. The authorities are investigating the incident to understand the full context and to prevent any future occurrences of such alarming behaviour.
