Bihar: In a shocking incident in Patna district, Bihar, a 55-year-old woman was reportedly gang-raped by three men in an auto rickshaw. The incident occurred in the Phulwari Sharif police station area, and the suspects are believed to be known to the woman. Law enforcement has registered a case, launched an investigation, and is actively pursuing the suspects, who remain at large.

Incident details

The victim, a resident of a village within the Phulwari Sharif jurisdiction, recounted to the police that on November 5, she boarded an auto rickshaw to travel to Patna. Along with the driver, two other individuals were already seated in the vehicle. Shortly after her journey began, the men allegedly sprayed a substance to render her unconscious.

When the woman regained consciousness, she found herself lying near the railway tracks in Nadwa, Dhanarua, disoriented and with her clothing disturbed. She managed to return to Phulwari Sharif, where she reported the incident to the police.

Police action and investigation

Phulwari Station House Officer Masood Alam Haidari confirmed that a case has been filed, and authorities are coordinating with the local police station in Nadwa for further investigation. CCTV footage from the areas surrounding the incident site is being reviewed to gather evidence. The woman has filed a complaint against three named suspects, and efforts are underway to locate and apprehend them.
