Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann announced on Thursday that the state will begin offering 42 government services directly to residents’ doorsteps under the newly launched 'Bhagwant Mann Sarkar Tuhade Dwar' initiative. The service, designed to streamline access to essential government certificates and documents, will be accessible through a dedicated phone line.
Under the new scheme, residents of Punjab will be able to call a dedicated number, 1076, to schedule appointments and request various government services. These services include obtaining vital certificates and documents, with all appointments and processes handled at the citizen’s doorstep.
“We are introducing 'Bhagwant Mann Sarkar Tuhade Dwar,' where 42 services will be included. A new number, 1076, will be launched. By calling this number, citizens can schedule an appointment and get their certificates made at their doorstep," stated CM Mann, as quoted by ANI.
The chief minister first mentioned the scheme while addressing the centenary celebrations of the Government Medical College (GMC) in Amritsar, where he emphasized that these 42 citizen-centric services would soon be made available at residents' homes.
