A car accident in the Thanamandi area of Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir has claimed the lives of four people and left five people injured.
One passenger, identified as Mohd Younis, was declared dead on arrival.
The four injured people are being treated at the Government Medical College and Associated Hospital in Rajouri, which was confirmed by Medical Superintendent Dr Mehmood Hussain Bajar.
All the victims are residents of Bhanghai village of Thanamandi town.
The cause of the accident is yet to be determined, and more details are awaited.
The Rajouri car accident is the latest fatal car accident in the country after a bus accident in Maharashtra’s Buldhana district on Saturday claimed 25 lives.
24 of the victims of the Buldhana tragedy were mass-cremated on Sunday, and the 25th victim was buried.
