A heart-wrenching incident has been reported from Rajasthan's Kota, where a 3-year-old girl suffocated to death after her parents locked her in the car while they were attending a wedding function on Wednesday. The girl has been identified as Gaurvika Nagar.

How did the incident happen?

According to SHO Banna Lal, Khatoli police station, the family of four was out to attend a wedding function, when Pradeep Nagar, the father of the three-year-old went to park the vehicle.

Assuming that their mother accompanied both daughters inside the venue, the father locked up and headed to the wedding. The officer further stated that the parents spent around two hours meeting various groups of people. But when they eventually got together, they inquired about another younger daughter Gorvika. When they informed each other that she was not with either of them, they started looking for her. Soon they rushed to the car while looking for her. There, they found her in an unconscious state at the back of the seat and rushed her to the nearest hospital, where the doctors declared her dead.

Meanwhile, the parents have refused to file any police case and also denied to conduct an autopsy.
