An IndiGo flight returned to Delhi airport within an hour after its take-off amid a technical snag today. IndiGo flight returns to Delhi due to a technical snag

Speaking to the news agency ANI, a passenger said, “The pilot announced that there was a technical snag in the plane, so we are going back to Delhi airport. We felt vibration onboard during the flight.”

The plane took off from Delhi at 7.40 am and returned at 8.20 am. The crew of the IndiGo flight told its passengers that another flight was being arranged for the operation, but it might take some time, ANI reported.

Taking notes from the situation, the airline said, “IndiGo flight 6E 2172 operating from Delhi to Ranchi returned to Delhi today as a precaution due to a momentary technical caution.”

Similar incident

It’s not the first time IndiGo flights returned to the airport due to a technical glitch as a similar incident occurred on Friday. A Delhi-bound IndiGo flight made an emergency landing at the Patna airport after one of its engines became inoperative.

As per an official, a plane with 181 passengers and eight crew members on board made the landing shortly after taking off from the Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport. “The aircraft returned to its origin due to a technical issue. Three minutes after its departure, the pilot reported one engine inoperative. The aircraft landed safely at 9.11 am. As per the pilot, no further assistance was required. All operations are normal,” the airport official said.

However, another plane accommodated the passengers later.
