The NIA is also probing Rana's involvement with David Coleman Headley's network and sleeper cells in cities like Pushkar, Goa, and Delhi.

Congress' Claim

The Congress party has claimed that Rana's extradition is a result of the UPA government's efforts, with former Home Minister P. Chidambaram stating that it was a culmination of diplomatic, legal, and intelligence efforts initiated during the UPA regime.

Continuous Process

The Congress party asserts that the process continued even after the government change in 2014, ultimately leading to Rana's extradition when the issue was raised between Prime Minister Modi and then-US President Trump in February 2020
