24-year-old bride-to-be woman dies after fall from roller coaster at Delhi amusement park

Delhi: A devastating incident occurred at the Fun and Food Village amusement park in Delhi, where a 24-year-old woman, Priyanka, fell from a roller coaster swing and died. Priyanka, a sales manager from Chanakyapuri, was with her future husband, Nikhil, when the accident happened on Wednesday afternoon. As she was on the roller-coaster ride, when the swing was at the highest point, the stand collapsed, and Priyanka plummeted directly downwards," said a police officer. Priyanka was severely injured and rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead. Nikhil then alerted Priyanka's family and police.

Investigation ongoing 

The police have started looking into the case, filed by Nikhil, to ascertain the cause of the accident.Mohit, Priyanka's brother, blamed the water park for negligence due to lack of proper safety and late hospitalization as the reasons for her death.

Safety concerns raised

Mohit asked why the roller coaster was running even if it was set for maintenance. "If swings at the amusement park were repaired, then why did they open it? In this case, lives of people are being wagered there," he said.
