As a part of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna every farmer, who is eligible gets Rs 2000 every four months in three installments. With lakhs of farmers across the country waiting for their 13th installment, their wait is over. The scheme is expected to benefit small and marginal farmers across India.

In this scheme, farmers receive Rs.6000 in total each year, which gets transferred to their bank accounts directly in three installments, which are Rs.2000 from April to July, August to November and December to March, each.

The PM Kisan Yojna is a complete central government owned scheme that provides 100 percent funding to farmers from the centre. However, there are certain guidelines for eligibility of this schemeThere can only be benefits for small landholding farmers from this, so all farmers cannot benefit. The beneficiary farmers must note that the scheme was started in December 2018 to provide the financial assistance to the families who need support.

According to the scheme guidelines, the State Government and UT administration identify the farmers who qualify for support. The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) programme of the Union Budget for the fiscal year 2023–24 may offer one additional installment, bringing the total payment to each farmer to 8,000 annually.

The announcement of the 13th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana will be done on its official website. KYC is mandatory to get the benefit of this, else the money of 13th installment will not come in the account. The farmers who did not get ‘Know Your Customer’ (KYC) done at the time of 12 installments did not get the benefit of 12th installment.

In the month of October, Prime Minister released the 12th installment in which Rs 16,000 crore was directly transffered to the farmer’s bank account.
