11 trains diverted as 2 coaches of goods train derails in Maharashtra, all you need to know

The accident occurred more than 100 kilometres away from Mumbai.

Two wagons of a goods train derailed near Kasara railway station in Maharashtra on Sunday evening, according to the Central Railways. The accident occurred more than 100 kilometres away from Mumbai, on the routes of 11 express trains being diverted. However, the central Railways said that the movement of four other express trains was affected.

Furthermore, the Central Railways added that mail express traffic from Kasara to Igatpuri downline and the middle line were affected. No injuries or casualties were reported so far.

The 11 express trains whose movements are affected: 17612 Mumbai CSMT (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus) Nanded Express, 12105 CSMT Gondia Express, 12137 CSMT-Firozpur Punjab Mail Express, 12289 CSMT Nagpur Duronto Express, 12111 CSMT Amaravati Express, 12809 CSMT Howrah Express, 17057 CSMT-Secunderabad Express, 12322 CSMT Howrah Express, 18029 LTT Shalimar Express, 12167 LTT Varanasi Express and 12141 LTT Patliputra Express.

While Mumbai suburban train services remained unaffected, according to Central Railways. It also said two accident relief trains were sent to the spot.
