New Delhi: A list of members belonging to the Nationalist Congress Party, and therefore somewhat exhaustive, does indeed bring out an important inclusion of a diverse range of people, including both some of the promising newcomers as well as seasoned and experienced leaders.
The Delhi Congress has nominated Imran Saifi from Okhla, Khalid Ur Rehman from Chandni Chowk, Ratan Tyagi from Burari, Mohammad Harun from Balli Maran, and Mulayam Singh from Badli to compete against Delhi Congress chief Devender Yadav. Seemapuri native Rajesh Lohiya, Gokulpuri native Jagdish Bhagat, Mangolpuri native Khem Chand, Chhatarpur native Narender Tanwar, Laxmi Nagar native Namaha, and Sangam Vihar native Qamar Ahmad have all been put forward.
The bold step is where NCP looks at constituencies in which it has fought a fierce political battle with big players of AAP and Congress. It goes to high-stakes battlegrounds and positions itself as a game-changer in the 2025 elections. Perhaps, it was a smart step, but this has furthered another dimension into the electoral dynamics as even as the ruling AAP had already declared candidates for all of its 70 seats, the Congress unveiled its list of 47 candidates.
At this point, all eyes focus on these 11 candidates preparing to venture into the long race of the campaign. They are a superb and refreshing option for this vibrant and colorful Delhi of lively democracy. The big question that everyone is concerned with is whether the daring strategy of the Nationalist Congress Party will find an optimistic response and will appeal to the hearts of voters well. Only time will tell, and February 2025 is to bring out the answer to this critical inquiry.
