“VocalForLocal” gives new sparks to Diwali

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his sincere happiness at the country's brilliant Diwali celebration, highlighting the bright lighting in each and every home that is a result of the public welfare initiatives of the government.

Resonating with the PM's #VocalForLocal effort during Diwali, well-known Indian celebrities and influencers used their social media platforms to support and highlight local producers and traders.

Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, the Executive Chairperson of Biocon Limited, extolled the mission, expressing admiration for the creativity encapsulated within the #VocalForLocal movement.

Shaw posted on X, "Love the #VocalForLocal mission and the creativity coming along with it! Kudos to PM @narendramodi and may goddess Lakshmi shower her blessings on Indian entrepreneurs and businesses this Diwali!"

Responding to this PM Modi tweeted, “Indeed, let’s make this Diwali about the hard work of 140 crore Indians. It is due to the creativity and relentless spirit of entrepreneurs that we can be #VocalForLocal and further India’s progress. May this festival herald an Aatmanirbhar Bharat!”

Meanwhile, taking the vision of #VocalForLocal forward, Bollywood celebrities like Anupam Kher, Varun Sharma, Bhumi Pednekar, Jackie Shroff, and others supported encouraging the use of indigenous products and heralding the pride in Indian craftsmanship.
