Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the historic New Pamban Bridge in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu on the occasion of Ram Navami festival on 6 April 2025. During this, PM Modi fiercely attacked the DMK government of Tamil Nadu and Chief Minister MK Stalin. He said that some people have a habit of crying without any reason, they keep crying. Before 2014, only Rs 900 crore was received every year for the railway project. According to the report of the news agency. Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the public meeting said, "Today is the holy festival of Ram Navami, in such a situation, some time ago, the rays of the sun have done a grand tilak of Lord Ram in the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya. In such a situation, the life of Lord Shri Ram, the inspiration of good governance from his Ram Rajya is a big basis for the construction of the country.
आज रामनवमी है, रामेश्वरम की पवित्र भूमि है, तो मेरे लिए कुछ भावुक पल भी है। आज भारतीय जनता पार्टी का स्थापना दिवस है।

Addressing the gathering, PM Modi said, "This is the land of Bharat Ratna Dr. Kalam, his life showed us that science and spirituality are complementary to each other. Similarly, the new Pamban Bridge for Rameswaram brings together technology and traditions.
"In the last 10 years, India has doubled the size of its economy. One of the major reasons for such rapid growth is our excellent modern infrastructure. In the last 10 years, we have increased the budget for infrastructure like railway, road, airport, port, electricity, water, gas pipelines almost 6 times.
Speaking at the public meeting, Narendra Modi said, "Work on mega projects is going on at a very fast pace in the country. He said that if you see in the north, one of the highest rail bridges in the world is 'Chenab Bridge' in Jammu and Kashmir. At the same time, if we go to the west, the country's longest sea bridge 'Atal Setu' has been built in Mumbai. Apart from this, if you go to the Northeast, you will see the 'Bogibeel Bridge' of Assam. Whereas, coming to the southern states, the construction of 'Pamban Bridge', one of the few vertical lift bridges in the world, has been completed.
"In the last decade, India has also invested a record amount in social infrastructure. In the last 10 years, more than 4 crore pucca houses have been provided to poor families across the country. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, more than 12 lakh houses have been provided to my brothers and sisters of poor families here in Tamil Nadu.
"Tamil Nadu's infrastructure is the government's top priority. In the last decade, the state's railway budget has increased more than seven times. Despite this significant increase, some people continue to complain without justification. Before 2014, only Rs 900 crore was allocated every year. However, this year, Tamil Nadu's railway budget has exceeded Rs 6,000 crore. In addition, the Government of India is modernizing 77 railway stations, including the station of Rameswaram.
