Giving stern reply during one of his interviews to a media platform, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said the government will not shy away in taking down terrorists even hiding in Pakistan, if they try to disturb peace in India. The statement from the defence minister has come in response to a report by The Gardian which claimed that Indias Research & Analysis Wing (RAW) had devised a plan to eliminate terrorists residing on foreign soil,” specially the 20 assassinations mainly of terrorists were carried out by Indias external spy agency. While speaking, Singh stated, We will always give a befitting reply to any terrorist who will try to disturb India from any neighboring country or conduct any terror activities in India.Pakistan mein ghus ke marenge (will kill them by entering into Pakistan) if that terrorist runs towards Pakistan (from India), Singh declared. However, the minister of defense also underlined Indias aim to keep cordial ties with all of its neighbors, adding that India never attacked any country. In the past, we have never attacked a country first or chosen to target any country...We never attempted to seize land from another nation, he declared.Singh stated in the interview, But India wont leave them if someone targets them repeatedly. On Friday, the Ministry of External Affairs referred to the claims as false and malicious anti-India propaganda in its response to the media house investigation on Friday.A prior comment made by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar that stated targeted assassinations in other nations were not the policy of the government of India was also emphasized by the administration. As part of an emboldened approach to national security following the 2019 Pulwama terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 40 Indian soldiers, documents shared by some Pakistani investigators reportedly showed that Indias intelligence agency, RAW (Research and Analysis Wing), allegedly carried out 20 such targeted killings on foreign soil.
