Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi made a statement on Saturday asserting that Muslim men are the most frequent users of condoms in India. This statement served as a rebuttal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's remarks, where he referred to the Muslim community as "those who have more children."

Owaisi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of spreading falsehoods to incite animosity among the Hindu community. He claimed that the government's own data indicates a decline in the fertility rate of Muslims, contradicting Modi's assertion that Muslims are producing more children. Owaisi expressed concern that these falsehoods are being propagated by the BJP and RSS to perpetuate the myth that Muslims will eventually become the majority in India. These comments were made during a public rally on Saturday as Owaisi campaigns for the Lok Sabha elections in Hyderabad.

The Hyderabad MP further emphasised that his statements were backed by government data, stating, “If anyone uses condoms the most among men in India, they are Muslims. I am not saying this. This is government data.”

This exchange of remarks stemmed from PM Modi's recent comments in Rajasthan, where he accused the Congress of planning to distribute the country's wealth to "those who have more children." The Congress promptly filed a complaint with the Election Commission against the Prime Minister, resulting in a notice issued to the BJP.

Owaisi also criticised PM Modi for allegedly fueling fear and promoting discord between Muslims and Dalits since 2002. He questioned the sincerity of Modi's slogan, "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas," stating that it was merely a facade masking deeper prejudices.

The AIMIM chief strongly objected to PM Modi's characterization of Muslims as "infiltrators," highlighting what he perceives as the Prime Minister's true sentiments towards the Muslim community. Owaisi accused PM Modi of being disingenuous in his public stance and urged for an end to the politics of hatred and division.
