Indore's culinary wonders have found an unexpected admirer in British High Commissioner to India, Alex Ellis. The distinguished envoy expressed his sheer delight after savoring the iconic Poha and Johny Hot Dog at the famed Chhappan Dukaan, renowned for its street food offerings.
Taking to social media, High Commissioner Ellis shared his gastronomic journey, highlighting the delectable Poha and Johny Hot Dog as the culinary stars of his visit. In a lively post, he exclaimed, "Poha & Johny Hot Dog: that sums up my visit to Chappan Dukaan in Indore. Bhayankar Swadisht Nashta. Maza Aariya Hai!"
Chhappan Dukaan, a bustling food street in Indore, has earned its fame for an extensive variety of culinary delights. The combination of vibrant ambience and diverse flavours creates an immersive experience for both locals and visitors.
During his visit, the British envoy met with the Mayor of Indore, Pushyamitra Bhargav, engaging in discussions about the city's progress. Expressing his pleasure, Ellis posted, "A pleasure to meet @advpushyamitra. Great to learn about the progress of Indore and how the UK can support it. Aapse Milkar Khushi Hui!"
Apart from diplomatic talks on administrative exchange programmes and electric vehicles (EVs), High Commissioner Ellis commended Indore's cleanliness model. The city, known as the cleanest in the country, has secured this title six times consecutively and now aims for a seventh.
As the British dignitary relishes Indore's culinary treasures, the city's blend of tradition and innovation continues to captivate hearts, even beyond borders.
