'Kejriwal Nyay Do...,' BJP Mahila Morcha protests outside Kejriwal's house

The development came two days after Maliwal went to the police station and said that a member of Kejriwal's staff "assaulted" her inside the CM's official residence.

In a fresh twist of turn in AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal's assault case, the BJP Mahila Morcha has come to the front foot in support of Maliwal, seeking justice for the wrong done to her. The BJP Mahila Morcha is protesting outside Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's residence with Bangles, shouting slogans of, "Submit your resignation" and "Kejriwal submerge in water and die."

Action initiated

The Delhi Police has registered an FIR in connection with the alleged assault on Mariwal by an aide of CM Arvind Kejriwal. Meanwhile, Bibhav Kumar, Kejriwal's assistant, has been listed as an accused in the case. The National Commission for Women (NCW) summoned him to discuss the situation. According to authorities, Maliwal has named Kumar as the 'prime accuse' in connection to the case, alleging that he assaulted her when she had gone to meet Kejriwal. 

According to officials, a FIR against Kumar has been filed at the Civil Lines police station under Indian Penal Code sections 354 (assault or criminal force on a woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation), 509 (word gesture or act of intent to insult) and 323 (assault).

Maliwal gets a medical checkup done

Maliwal has also undergone a medical examination at Delhi AIIMS, as per routine. A Delhi Police squad accompanied Maliwal to AIIMS at 11 p.m. and left at 3.15 a.m.

According to Maliwal's statement to police, she was sitting in the drawing room when Kumar entered and allegedly smacked her many times.
