Tamil Nadu: Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin reportedly took a sardonic poke at the Centre's proposed delimitation plans, suggesting that newlywed couples in the state should plan their families incontinently in order to secure an advantage when the exercise is conducted.
I would before ask newlyweds to take their time before they plan a family, but not presently, a report quoted the Tamil Nadu chief minister as saying at the marriage function of a DMK quarter clerk in Nagapattinam." But now with programs similar as delimitation that the Union government is planning to apply, we can not say that. We concentrated on family planning and succeeded and were pushed into a situation similar as this. So I would now prompt newlyweds to have babies and give them good Tamil name," CM Stalin said.

The ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam( DMK) in Tamil Nadu has been oral in opposing the Centre's delimitation plans, which involve redrawing the boundaries of administrative and assembly constituencies grounded on demographic changes. Delimitation row Chief minister Stalin has expressed concern that southern states, like Tamil Nadu, which have effectively enforced family planning over the times, could be underprivileged when the delimitation process takes place after 2026.
Stalin believes that this could reduce the representation of southern countries in Parliament, despite their significant benefactions to the country’s GDP and success in population control. In response, BJP prophet CR Keshavan slammed Stalin's reflections, calling them part of a" hopeless and dishonest diversionary drama."Keshavan also questioned whether the DMK had the courage to challenge Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s statement on population rights, which he described as being in direct contradiction to Stalin's station.
Keshavan reportedly said that the DMK is engaging in hopeless and dishonest diversionary drama and have the courage to question Rahul Gandhi and seek an explanation asks is it like Jitni Abadi,Utna Haq'? Who was pertaining to Rahul Gandhi's call for rights to proportionate to population. Keshavan also indicted the DMK of diverting attention from the party’s alleged" gross mismanagement, lawlessness and misgovernance."Amid this, Stalin also slammed the Centre for pushing a National Education Policy (NEP) to impose Hindi forcefully on the states. He also appealed to the state BJP not to swap an forthcoming each- party meeting regarding the delimitation issue."
They're trying to apply delimitation that will reduce the number of Lok Sabha seats for Tamil Nadu. I've convened an each-party meeting on March 5 to bandy our stage on delimitation. A majority of them have agreed and many are skipping it. But they should understand that this isn't a problem of DMK, it's a problem for the entire state. 'So I request everyone again to stand together for the our state.'
