Delhi Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Gopal Rai revealed on Sunday that the opposition 'INDIA' bloc is gearing up for a massive rally scheduled for March 31. This announcement comes amidst heightened tensions between the opposition and the Narendra Modi government following the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the excise policy case.

During the briefing of INDIA bloc leaders, Rai expressed profound concern over Kejriwal's arrest, stating that it has sparked indignation among people across the nation who uphold and cherish the constitution. He emphasised that the issue goes beyond Kejriwal's arrest and is part of a broader strategy aimed at eliminating the entire opposition.

Rai also accused Prime Minister Modi of misusing central agencies and engaging in questionable practices such as purchasing MLAs. He alleged that some MLAs are coerced into joining the BJP either through monetary inducements or threats, while those who resist are targeted with fabricated charges.

Delhi Congress chief Arvinder Singh Lovely echoed similar sentiments, highlighting the peril faced by democracy. He mentioned Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's ongoing efforts to safeguard democracy and reiterated the alliance's steadfast support for the partners within the INDIA alliance.
