Extending his full support for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024, Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) chief Kamal Haasan on Saturday announced his partys ally with MK Stalin-led Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK).“Joined the DMK-led alliance for the sake of the country, not with any consideration for the post,” MNM founder Kamal Haasan said while addressing media. Discussion is still underway. As soon as the decision is taken, I wont be able to escape without telling you all. He also criticized the people who are not voting during election terming it as the defeat of democracy. It is worth to be noted that the announcement from the veteran actor has come amid speculations that MNM will join the Congress-led opposition coalition and will contest one seat from Tamil Nadu. Earlier in September, Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin hinted at the partys ally.
