Uttar Pradesh: A case has come to light from Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh, where the first night of marriage itself turned out to be a frightening experience for the husband. When the young man met his wife for the first time after marriage, he was totally surprised by what she told him. She then went to the police station and narrated her ordeal. As per media reports, this case is pertaining to the police station Baradari area of Bareilly, where the young man has seriously accused his wife and her family. The young man informed the police that he got married in January 2025. On the day of the wedding, when he went to meet his wife for the first time, she instructed him to keep his distance and warned him that if he touched her, she would take poison. When the young man questioned the reason behind this, the wife made a surprising revelation and said that "I am someone else's trust". Wife admits she is in love

The wife revealed that she already had someone she loved and accepted the marriage due to pressure from family. Then the youth discussed the issue with the wife's family, but their response was totally different. The relative began threatening the youngster and stated that he would file false charges. Following this, the youth approached the police for assistance.

Family mental harassment and stress

The young man complains that his wife and her family are mentally harassing him. At times the wife threatens to kill herself, at times her father threatens to file false reports. The young man explained that this stressful condition has also impacted his mother, who is a heart patient already and now her condition has deteriorated.

Police have lodged a case

The young men approached the police at Baradari police station, after which the police, being aware of the gravity of the situation, booked a case against the wife and four of her family members. Verifying the issue, SP City Manush Pareek mentioned that a case has been lodged and inquiry initiated. The police are taking statements from all parties and further steps will be initiated depending upon evidence.
