Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge inaugurated the emblem for the 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' on Saturday, accompanied by Congress Organisation General Secretary KC Venugopal and Communication Department's General Secretary Jairam Ramesh.

The event, held at the Congress headquarters in New Delhi, marked the initiation of a journey focusing on the fundamental social, economic, and political concerns of the nation.

The Emblem Unveiling and Slogan: "Nyay Ka Haq Milne Tak"

During the press conference, Kharge unveiled the logo with a powerful slogan, "Nyay Ka Haq Milne Tak." This sets the tone for a movement that aims to address critical issues affecting the public, including inflation, unemployment, farmers' struggles, labor conditions, wealth disparity, and caste-related challenges.

Key Objectives of 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra'

Discussing Public Issues

The Congress President emphasised that the yatra will serve as a platform to discuss issues directly impacting the public. Key topics on the agenda include inflation, unemployment, farmers' welfare, labor conditions, economic disparity, and the caste census.

Rahul Gandhi's Involvement

A notable aspect of the journey involves Rahul Gandhi engaging with various sections of society and organisations to explore and discuss viable solutions to their problems. The platform aims to connect with NGOs, journalists, farmers, small traders, Dalits, backward classes, tribals, and the intellectual community.

Strengthening Constitutional Pillars

The overarching goal of 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' is to reinforce the four pillars outlined in the Preamble of the Constitution – Justice, Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity.

Addressing Manipur Violence

Kharge raised concerns over the unfortunate incidents in Manipur, criticising Prime Minister Modi for not visiting the troubled state. He highlighted the urgency of addressing regional issues and expressed disappointment in the government's response.

Parliament Proceedings and Public Outreach

Reflecting on recent events in Parliament, Kharge conveyed that Congress is compelled to reach out to the public due to the government's obstruction of their voice in the Parliament. The unprecedented suspension of 146 MPs prompted the party to take their concerns directly to the people through 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.'

Misuse of Investigative Agencies

Kharge accused the BJP government of openly exploiting investigative agencies, such as the ED, CBI, and Income Tax Department, to intimidate the opposition. He pointed out the tendency to clear the image of leaders joining BJP after facing legal scrutiny.

Critique of Criminal and Labour Laws

The Congress President criticised the Modi government's approach to new criminal laws and labour regulations, deeming them indicative of a potential dictatorship.

The 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' is more than a political journey; it's a platform for dialogue, a means to connect with the public, and an effort to address the pressing issues facing the nation. As Congress takes this initiative to the grassroots level, the yatra seeks to foster an inclusive dialogue, paving the way for a more just and equitable India.
