'Anti-incumbency' becomes irrelevant when there is good governance: PM Modi ahead of Winter Parliament Session

A total of 21 bills including two financial bills are likely to be taken up during the upcoming Winter Session of the Parliament.

The Parliament Winter Session is all set to start from December 4 and will conclude on December 22. The session which is starting a massive win on BJP in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh Assembly election is likely to hear from the Ethics Committee regarding the 'cash-for-query' claims made against Mahua Moitra, the MP for the Trinamool Congress, and three important proposals that aim to replace the Evidence Act, the CrPC, and the IPC are expected to be tabled. BJP members will approach Parliament feeling confident after winning the most recent round of Assembly elections 3-1, while the opposition will attempt to corner the government on many topics.

Before the commencement of the Winter Parliament Session, PM Narendra Modi said 'Anti-incumbency irrelevant when there is good governance.’

PM Modi asserted that this is a golden opportunity for our colleagues sitting in the Opposition. 

"Instead of taking out your anger of defeat in this session, if you go ahead with positivity and learn from the defeat and leave behind the tendency of negativity of the last 9 years, the country will change their point of view for them...," he added.

On the other hand, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge called for an all-party meeting at the office of LoP in Rajya Sabha.
