Ex-Indian cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Suresh Raina, and Pragyan Ojha celebrated the ninth International Yoga Day by performing ‘asanas’ and posting on social media.

Sehwag, who is known for his powerful batting, performed Shirshasana, or the headstand pose. A video of the same was uploaded on his Instagram handle, which he captioned with, “Wishing you a great #internationaldayofyoga.”

Sachin Tendulkar, the biggest name in Indian cricket, also engaged with his followers on Yoga Day. He posted pictures of him performing Natarajasana, which he captioned with “Yoga helps increase the teamwork between the body and the mind.” He also asked his followers, “Which is your favourite Yoga asana?”

Raina and Ojha too wish a Happy Yoga Day to all

The ever-beloved Suresh Raina posted a video on his Twitter handle. In the video, he is doing the Dhanurasana, or the bow pose, with the help of a friend.

Pragyan Ojha, who played with Sehwag in the Indian cricket team, also joined in the trend, posting a video on Instagram which showed him performing Vrikshasana, or the tree pose.

Focusing on the benefits of yoga and this year’s theme of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, Ojha captioned the post with, “Happy International Yoga Day! Embracing this ancient practice promotes physical and mental well-being, fostering harmony and inner peace. Let’s unite in harnessing the power of yoga to cultivate mindfulness, reduce stress, and enhance overall health.”
