Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre was inaugurated on Friday in Mumbai, with numerous celebrities and sportspersons gracing the occasion. The Centre is one of-its-own-kind, multi-disciplinary cultural centre which will showcase Indias finest offerings in music, theatre, fine arts and crafts. A costume exhibition called India in Fashion and a group art exhibition called Sangam Confluence will also take place on April 1 and 2 at NMACC.Nita Ambani, speaking about the Centre, stated that it will be a further significant step in enhancing Indias cultural infrastructure and bringing to fruition the best of both India and the global art scene.Nita Ambani said, “NMACC is an ode to our country, to the rich legacy and heritage that we all have inherited. I hope the spaces here nurture young talent, not only from the metros and cities but from small towns and remotest villages also. I hope it becomes a home for the art, artisans and the audience.”She further added, “I think at this moment my heart is full. I am at a loss for words but I think Mukesh and me had dreamt about having a cultural centre in India comparable to the best in the world and hopefully, today is the reality. I am so looking forward to welcoming everyone to the cultural centre in Mumbai.”Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries, stated, “I believe Nita has given not only the city of Mumbai but also India a gift by creating this art and cultural institution. It truly represents Indias maturation. In this new India and new period, where we can create material of the highest calibre, we also have the infrastructure to extend an open invitation to everyone else on the globe to visit Mumbai.”The Center will place a major emphasis on community-building initiatives, such as outreach and competitions for schools and colleges, prizes for art educators, Guru-shishya programmes in residence, and adult art literacy initiatives. The facility will be open to everyone without charge, including children, students, elders, and those with impairments. Three performance venues, the grand 2,000-seat Grand Theatre, the cutting-edge 250-seat Studio Theatre, and the exciting 12S-seat Cube, will be located within the cultural centre.Additionally, it has the Art House, a four-story dedicated visual arts space constructed to international museum standards to house a changing selection of exhibits and installations from the best artistic talent around the globe and India. A captivating mix of public artwork by well-known Indian and international artists is displayed throughout the Centres concourses, including Kamal Kunj, one of the biggest Pichwai paintings in India.Celebrities graced the opening ceremonyThe Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centres opening was a well-attended occasion. Numerous famous people from the Indian film business, including Salman Khan, Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vidya Balan, Shraddha Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, Kareena Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karan Johar, and Saif Ali Khan. The grand opening was witnessed by Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, and their daughter Malti Marie, who arrived in Mumbai on Friday. Among the attendees were the Hollywood stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Penelope Cruz, as well as the French fashion designer Christian Louboutin and the artist Jeff Koons. The event was not only attended by celebrities from across the world but Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was seen posing in front of the paps with his daughter Sara Tendulkar and wife Anjali Tendulkar. Jasprit Bumrah, Sania Mirza and Dia Mirza were also part of the ceremony. All of them were seen posing for the paparazzi. Actor-couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were also seen posing at the ceremony. The evening was full of surprises for the guests, Nita Ambani looked enthralled and steals the show as she performed a semi-classical dance to the song Raghupati Raghav at the opening ceremony.
